A very rare, superb & elegant large Bactrian beige ceramic chalice. Thermoluminescences tested by Ralf Kotalla laboratory with a positive test date of 2400 years old +/- 240 years, which places it approx in the time of the Greek invasion. Diameter 210mm, height 165mm. Section of rim professionally rejoined from its original fragment. Ex-Kon Doulgerous collection acquired in Austria 1999. |
