A very pretty Roman bronze statue of Jupiter, portrayed standing with left arm raised holding thunderbolt, now missing. the right arm broken at wrist and loss to lower portion at ankles. Mounted on a custom Australian hardwood display stand, very attractive. Dating to circa 1st-3rd century AD. Measures 93mm height / 135mm inc stand. Ex-London art market late 90's. |
