Ancient Egyptian royal faience scarab Akhenaten
A very rare Egyptian dark blue glazed faience scarab with throne name of Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten) reading NEFER-KHEP-ERU-RA "Beautiful are the manifestations of re; dearest of re", The name given before his conversion, beside the cartouche reads Kho ma ra "uprising like ra". Intact with glaze wear as seen in images.

Dating to the Amarna period circa 1351-1334 BC

Measures 17mm length
