A beautiful pair of large Roman gold earrings decorated with extensive filigree work. The upper portion consists of a convex shaped disc decorated with a stylized face, the lower with three hollow globes with ornate hanging granular curtains and spiral decoration in centre, all attached with a strand of braided wire. Comes with display stand. Very ornate Dating to circa 2nd-3rd century AD. Each earring measures 3.6cm height / 4.5cm height on stand / 6.9 grams the pair.
