A rare iron sword (Jian) from the Warring States period of ancient China. The blade has remnants of its original wooden scabbard fused in with the iron. The bronze cast hilt intact with nice patina and pommel(now missing) also would have been bronze. The sword has been professionally stabilized and sealed using a special wax to seal from elements. Comes with featured display stand. Dating to the Warring States period of China circa 475-221 BC. Measures 96cm length / 106cm on custom display stand. Ex-private West Australian collection.
