An unusual solid cast Western Asiatic bronze figure possibly depicting a stylized dancing monkey wearing a helmet or elaborate hair piece. Appears to be wearing a necklace and holding a stone in his left hand. On reverse shows what appears to be his tail. Dating to circa 1st millenium BC, Western Asia. Measures 6.5cm height. Ex-private West Australian collection |
