A magnificent Scythian Sarmation bronze openwork hairpin. Decorated with very fine openwork style, large round disc shaped head. Some small chips around the outer disc, otherwise intact with no restoration. Dating to circa 1000BC. Measures 20cm height, 6.2cm diameter of disc / 21.5cm height on display stand. Ex-private West Australian collection. |
